Born in Słupsk (North Poland) October 12, 1946. M. Sc. in Chemistry and Engineering; Department of Chemistry, Technical University of Gdańsk 1972. Employed as scientist at Research & Development Department of Plastics and Inks Institute, Gliwice, Printing Inks Branch in Gdańsk, 1973-74. Employed as scientist at Chemistry Department of Technical University of Gdańsk, Branch of Polimer Chemistry, 1975. PhD student at Chemistry Department of Technical University of Gdańsk, 1976-78. PhD.; Department of Chemistry, Technical University of Gdańsk 1978. Employed in Technical University of Gdańsk since 1978. Post doc. fellow; Faculty of Physics, Chemical Physics Department, Nicholas Copernicus University, Toruń 1982. Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research, Stuttgart, Germany 1986-87, 1989 and 2000. Habilitation in Chemistry; Center for Molecular and Macromolecular Research, Polish Academy of Sciences, Łódź 1993. Lecturer of nanotechnology (in the spirit of A. Franks), Chemistry Department of Technical University of Gdańsk, 1993 - present. The International Society for Hybrid Microelectronics - Poland Chapter Second Award (together with P. Wroczyński) for presentation of work entitled: Electron Cyclotron Resonance Plasma Source for Thin Film Deposition, 1996. Member of Interdisciplinary Mathematical Modelling Scientific Group of the Academic Computer Center in Gdańsk (http://www.task.gda.pl/nauka/zmm.html ) computational nanotechnology and material science, 1997.
